After two powerful rock records, I got the idea for an acoustic album. Because I wanted to focus on the lyrics, on the stories of the songs. I wanted to keep it simple, clear and not so loud with just guitars, piano, drums and a bass but I couldn‘t stop myself and then put a lot of more stuff on. Now we have songs with a violin, a flute, a glockenspiel, an accordion and a lot of other small acoustic instruments. However, an electric guitar and drum-machines are used as well. This is why the album is called „The Acoustic Walk—pimped and tuned“. But still it has got these acoustic features.

The included “Acoustic Session Tapes“ are the recordings of Michael and me on a cold and windy Saturday. Just two guitars and our voices. As simple as that. These are songs from the previous records “Bremen-Adelaide” and “Rumble in The Jungle”.

I‘d like to thank the band in the name of Jens Anderstein, Tobias Tietjen and Mighty Michael for their inspiration and ideas. Especially I would like to thank Michael who actually co-produced this album.

And many thanks to everybody who supports my music. And of course to my wife who tries to cope with the loudness in our house.
